CR VRS induction kit

Featured Replies

Dropped into the slippery slope again, After taking a standard 57 plate vrs 2.0 tfsi to nearly 290bhp using revo stage 2+ with all the proper goodies ive now bought a 61 plate cr170 vrs estate and started playing, Fitted a induction system and going to fit my miltek system of the tfsi and then going to get revo software on it at work in the next few weeks, Should be interesting although i am fully aware that i will not get the power from the cr as i did from the tfsi. But the tfsi had to go due to fuel consumption and caravaning (sad but true as i loved the tfsi)

Looks like a tidy install there. Where is the tray from? That something you made or is that an off the shelf item?

What brand kit is that? Like the heat shield, is that a DIY jobbie?

I'm looking into a induction kit for my PD, but just wary about the crappy wheezy noises that derv's make off throttle

The tray is from a BSH trueseal induction kit and the filter was from my forge induction kit and the hose is a universal 80mm to 70mm 90 degree silicone hose from autoperformanceonline. Noise wise its actually quieter than my tfsi with only a very slight dumping noise. Fitting was so easy because i just removed my airbox from the maf sensor which left a nice tube which the silicone hose fitted to. Simples.

I tried an induction kit on my old cr and it didn't improve performance noticeably and just made an awful noise so I took it off.

I'd be interested in hearing what it sounds like and any difference on driving, before and after revo as thinking of going down the revo route myself.
