I checked my oil the other day 1.6 tdi monte carlo, but at the front og the engine in the middle there is a wire in some casing with a plug that goes into the engine... wondering what this is as it seems to be loose!

Hi Zach 1301

My wife has a 1.6 CR Tdi elegance and I know the plug you are referring to. It also appears loose on her car looks like an end 'sleeve' on the cabling where it reaches the plug. Sorry I can't help you with its' identification but whatever its' function the car appears to be running OK! I've had a push and a prod at it but no matter what I do it always ends up appearing loose. I'm not going to worry about it!!

Regards

Alan
