Clicking through tweeters when using intermittant wipers

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have an upgraded ICE setup. I have noticed that when the wipers are on intermittant, with the clicking of the relay comes a much louder clicking through the tweeters. It doesn't always happen but does about 65% of the time. It is quite loud and I am worried it might damage my upgraded speakers!

Power wire is run well away from signal cables btw.

Any ideas for sorting it? Better earth? Headunit cap?

are you sure its your tweeters....my wipers do the same not all teh time some of the time..but its nothing to do with the tweeters... try it with the HU off and u thiink you will find it stil does it

what do you have your speakers running from?

Perhaps a dose of RainX and drive a bit faster ;)

Pioneer 4 channel amp running the speakers. I don't recall it ever happening with standard speakers with the same amp. It's only since putting my Diamond M6 components in that it's started!

ooohhhh diamond M6 la de dar ! there nice....

chances are it was there with standard but they could replocate the sound the M6's being better can.... it could be a bad earth on the relay that switches the window wipers... bad earths usally show there selves in wet conditions..

could try replacing the window washer relay...
