Featured Replies

Fom Top Gear they mention the top of the various hotties on the market at the moment.

All manner of prices but really only seconds between them all

Citroen C2 VTS

Citroen C4 VTS

Ford Fiesta ST

Honda Civic Type R

Seat Ibiza Cupra R

Toyota Corolla T-sport

Audi RS3

Skoda Fabia RS

Volkswagen Golf GTI

BMW 130i

Renault Clio 182 cup

Peugot 206 GTi

Vauxhall Astra VXR

Mini Cooper S works

Fiat Stilo Abarth

Smart ForFour Brabus

Alfa 147 GTA

How spoiled for choice are we! Pick 1,2and 3 then.Whether you have driven them or not.Not just pace.Just what you think are the top three in the Hot (and warm) hatch land(sorry no octy)--

Methinks 1-Golf GTI

2-Civic Type R

3-Alfa Romeo GTA(or should it be 2 and the civic 3  )

In a short test they chose the fiesta over the clio and then the ibiza FR  (just testing those three) .Are they mad

But the Fiesta had that subtle extra item

........A blue oval badge! That ALWAYS guarantees a win in TG. The best bit is the guy trying to justify the choice. "It just feels better!!......"

nice open mind there andy

Ok - I will be nice, ish.

BMW 130i

VW 5 Golf GTI-t

Audi RS3

My preference is RWD, hence the BMW. They are usually 50/50 weight distribution and generally are better all round behavior under all driving conditions than rivals.

The golf I love for it's engineering achievement, is this better than the Golf 1 ?!?!

Audi RS3

RS Audi's have been mental in the past, but I do have my reservations. The old S3 was well off the pace, and was simply a posher commodity for the middle class house wife than a golf. The RS version might be the opposite, 500hp 1200 kgs and completely lethal. We will see :)

didn't mean to sound rude, forgot the smiley  just that you only picked VAG cars and a BMW

1. BMW 130i

2. Vauxhall Astra VXR

3. Alfa 147 GTA

I think the clio cup could do some damage !?!?

1. BMW 130i

2. Golf GTi

3. Civic Type R (just edging out the mini)

Too many French cars in that list. They would never reach 60 without something breaking.

I think The Alfa would break twice in the same time as the frenchies :)

Blinking Europeans eh? Czech build quality is what the world needs.
