Ok ok here’s what I’ll do, I’ll disable my account so that the certain idiots on here ( you know who you are) can continue with the mind blowingly boring chat that has crept into this forum over the last couple of years. When I joined in 2004 it was a vibrant, light hearted and often interesting place to be, now it’s just dull and full of thin skinned idiots who wouldn’t know banter and humour if it slapped them in the face. So, it’s with a not very heavy heart that I’ll call it a day, and let all you boring idiots get on with your mundane boring posts. To the decent ones on here (you know who you are) best of luck. I’ll rephrase then, both the 1.0 and 1.5 DSG’s I’VE had HAVE been slightly jerky from start……in fact the 1.5 more so. Personal experience.

Yeah mate don’t sweat it, there isn’t a car out there that doesn’t rattle or squeak now and again. Just drive and enjoy👍

I’ve driven both the 1.0 110 DSG and the 1.5 148 DSG and there ISNT that much between them, despite some of the previous comments. They are both jerky from the off and they both pick up very well. Obviously, the 1.5 picks up quicker but in real world terms the difference really isn’t that much. I’d recommend the 1.0 110 to anyone, and I’d recommend the 1.5 148 to anyone, Some people on here seem to think that the 148 is the fastest production car ever made…….it really isn’t, not by a long way😂

Exactly what I do matey, turn off stop/start before each journey. You shouldn’t be getting battery issues after a few weeks without use, that’s all I was saying buddy, but certain idiots on here took exception to it. If your car is under warranty see what the Dealer says, because modern batteries should NOT degrade so easily, despite what those self proclaimed experts say🙄😂😂

They? Who’s they? Mate, I’ve been driving cars since 1988 and I can categorically tell you that not once have I had a battery issue. Maybe certain people don’t know how to drive/maintain cars, who knows? Oh, and for the second time I HAVE left my car for almost 4 months over a freezing winter, and it started first time without issue. Confusion? No mate, I merely stated that in all the years I’ve been driving I have NEVER once encountered a battery issue. You call that confusion? Jesus🤣 Frankly, this is boring me now🙄🤣🤣
