Best wearing tyres

Featured Replies

I've just started a new job and with my commute and driving for work I am going to be doing 150-200 miles minimum each day.

I have had Toyo T1-Rs and Uniroyal Rainsport 2s both of which I have been impressed with especially the rainsports which are excellent but they do both wear a bit quickly.

Can anyone recommend a good hardwearing tyre? I don't want ditch finders and what ever it is must have decent grip in the dry and wet.

Price is not really an issue, I am looking for quality not price. I do the miles so I'm willing to spend the money.

Many thanks

Michelin every time. Hp's personally, but accept they might not be sporty enough for some.

On 2 cars I've managed 30k from the fronts, more from the rears with HP's

Many thanks

I had 80,000 miles from my Civic's rear Michelin Primacy HPs. Fronts about half that. They are also excellent tyres for enthusiastic driving!

Michelin energy for low rolling resistance and very high mileage. You do lose a little grip but you canna change the laws of physics. Mine have done 30k and are at 3mm front 4mm rear so its swapsies when the winters come off

Yes they are useless in snow - hence the winters.

+ 1 for Michelin Primacys. 45k on front tyres, excellent grip in the dry and wet.
