high speed wind noise

Featured Replies

is high speed wind noise likely to be the door seals or the wind deflectors? i checked the seals (after buying 2 new ones from skoda) and they seem ok, but i didnt think it would be the deflectors....hmmm opinions. might try take the new seals back

wind deflectors.......as they are deflecting wind :giggle:

yeh but it sounds like a wind leak if you get me, it sounds like its getting inside the car rather than the wind going over the deflectors

I've got a wind noise issue which sounds like an air leak around the B pillar area - but I've not noticed any water getting in. Makes me want to open and close the windows periodically to check they're firmly shut - which they always are...

lmao. i would but my 3.5 week old media unit burnt out on me and i currently hear every bump knock rattle noise, on the road and makes me wonder where my build quality is

I've got wind noise too. Think I've traced it to part of the door. Seal by the seat. Also I've had no radio for 10months. In safe mode and the code from skoda wont work

is the seal burst mate? how can you tell if there gubbed?

No but the rub marks on it where its been caught from getting in and out of the car and when driving I put my fingers in that area and it Stopped

My b pillar makes a noise over a certain speed since someone tried to bend the door open :(

im thinking of buying a load of sound deadening and going out all and caking the car in it, i hate noises and the car i think (especially having no music right now) makes alot of creaks and bumps. i thought buying kw v1 coilovers would have been a sensible option, but there not a smooth as i thought, but back on topic for the wind noise. i may take off the wind deflectors for 1 or 2 runs down the bypass and see if that eliminates that possibility if not it will be the seals i guess

My fabia had wind noise issue on driver door as if someone had tried to prise door open at the top, just put foot on bottom corner and pulled top corner in and it cured noise.
