I seem to have somehow activated follow me home lights, or I have a fault!

Basically, I get home, headlights off, remove key, as soon as I open the door the headlights come on again, I close the door, lock the car, and 30 seconds later the headlights switch off. Happened today and yesterday. I don't know if it's a particular order in which I do things that does it or what, but has anyone experienced this?? Mine is a 2002 Elegance.

It's the coming home lights

IIRC, it's switch off engine, switch off lights, flash headlights and exit the car.

On my Elegance I have to flash the headlights to get the coming home lights on. If I dont flash them it does not come on.

Check if you have high beam on, ie indicator lever is put away from you. This can filp coming home lights too.

Thanks guys. That makes sense now, as I saw my missus on the drive and flashed at her! Completely forgotten about this, but it all makes sense. Maybe I should be reading manuals LOL
