Really struggling to get the pins to pull out the standard symphony radio in my fabia, the main dealer cant provide them and 3 trips to car audio shops hasn't helped find a pin that fits - where do I look now

Kenwood pins fit both the Fabia and Octavia headunits.

Halfords certainly used to sell them though they may have stopped so thiefs can't get their hands on them.

Try a local audio shop if you can. :)

That's what I did - called into the local audio shop and asked them nicely to rremove it for me :-)

Tried that twice now with no joy, guess I'll have to leave the sticks and head somewhere with electricity!

even the skoda ones from my dealer wernt able to remove my radio :(

i just had to remove it by hand.

removed the trip around the radio and its easy enough

Do you mean taking out the thin strips each side of the radio - been there done that and pulled - didn't work. Do I have to delve further?

Cut 2 strips off an old credit card if you have one - wide enough to fit in the slots in the radio. Push them in till they stop. Then get your fingertips inside the tape hole old pull and jiggle at the same time!

Worked for me.

sometimes they just wont come out, if you put a slight inward curve on the keys this will press a little harder on the tags on the headunit and it will come out.

Thanks - I've decided to order the

Glad you got it sorted in the end.

the main dealer cant provide them

That is just plain unhelpfull though, they can order them through their parts dept.
