hi, im new to the forum and was hoping to pick the brains of someone who knows the ins and outs of central locking.

my car is a 2005 octavia vrs, last week my battery died and was replaced. however after doing the swap my drivers door will not lock from the fob!!

when you press the lock button on fob, all doors except the drivers will lock. also all but the drivers unlock fine. the only way to lock the drivers door is with the key, and the red led also will not flash either way!!

if anyone can give me an idea as to a solution i would be very gratefull. its driving me nuts!!!!

Exact same problem, im still trying to find soloution other than replacing the actuator. also my wing mirror adjustment and heater doesnt work on drivers side

I have same problem on my 2004 Octavia vrs !!?? I've put a new actuator/mechanism in door and still same ? Drivers mirror don't work and controls passinger mirror on l or r setting on mirror switch !? I'm stumped I give up as checked wiring etc still no joy :( if anyone knows please put us all out of our misery lol

Water in the multiplug on the drivers door, rotting out the pins, common problem and other symptoms are:

- random doors not locking on remote

- passenger mirror working when switch is on drivers side setting

- one or both heating elements not working on mirrors

- funky goings on with the windows

- ''lights on'' buzzer not working

Mine has a few of the above, it gets worse with wet weather and better when its warmer out, I'm guessing because the condensation buildup is less.

BRILL Found 4 pins had turned to dust lol :( I bought a complete door off eBay (local) for 50 connection etc were like new

Stripped door loom out and motor n mech swapped over And all working

PS DOES ANYONE WANT TO BUY A YELLOW OCTAVIA VRS DRIVERS DOOR LESS ANY INTERNAL PARTS £20 lol

I have a similar issue with my fabia, drivers door and passenger rear. Could this be the same issue? Would a VCDS scan fetch anything up? Are the looms available from skoda?

bought a 2007 roomster yesterday all well except drivers door will neither lock nor open from fob, all the others doors do.  Any help would be appreciated
