LED in drivers door/Alarm

Featured Replies

Can someone help please I recently had a problem with the car alarm on my 06 vrs octavia going off at various times through the day or night. I noticed when locking the car the LED light in the drivers door would flash fast for about 2 seconds, stay on for 30 seconds then flash every 2 seconds. After reading various threads on Briskoda I put it down to a fault with the interior monitor (the "stays on for 30 seconds" bit) – new interior monitor unit sourced from Capital Skoda Newport (£131.50 ouch) fitted it myself easy job took 5 minutes (thanks to mikeholroyd’s thread). Now so far touch wood I have not had any false alarms but the LED is still staying on for 30 seconds will I have to get someone with a vagcom to clear the fault code for the LED to go back to normal operation.
