Does this happen to you, the read out for trip mpg is up and down quite alot it should settle and stay fairly the same other than small movements, i know the instantanious mpg read out goes up and down as u accelerate the otherone shouldnt tho? Is there any faults these can develope please?? Or any simple fixes

Mine seems happy to go down fast but really slow to go up lol.

The trip mpg is done on an average so if you only do a short trip it only gets a small amount of readings so the figure will fluctuate wildly. If you go for a long drive say an hour or more by the end of that the figure will only be going up or down by half an mpg or so.
