Advice on Octavia Scout trim care

Featured Replies

Hi

What would you recommend for protecting the bumper and plastic trim on the Scout? Most of the trim products claim to make them 'blacker' but the Scout has grey plastic. Baker21 used Meguairs Hyper Dressing but that is only available in large quantities.

Any recommendations for something available in smaller (and cheaper) quantities?

Thanks

Trim dressing products don't necessarily turn things black but they will protect the plastic underneath it and as with many products some are better than others..........:)

If your looking for a small sized product with super long durability then I would have a look over on G-Techniq's website and invest in some C4, might be pricy but you won't use much of it and it will make your plastic's bead like crazy!!!

Yes GTechniq is the way to go, although expensive I think it is worth it.

I've used CG New Look Trim Dressing in the past on my black rubbing on the Octavia but you have to be careful as if you apply to much it can run & streak down the paintwork. Good product nonetheless and very good VFM

Thanks for the replies, I think I've been confused by the marketing! I was considering CG New Look Trim Dressing as it works on tyres too :)
