Turbo Timer

Featured Replies

Has anyone else bothered with a turbo timer for there motor?

I am considering one, as would be good idea.

If you have got one, what one have u bought?

:nerd:

I don't think you'll find many people on here (if any) have one.

If you've been ragging the hell out of it just drive it off boost for a bit then let it idle for a minute before turning it off. That'll stop the oil cooking.

They put mine in when they put the clifford on mate

I asked nice  and now i have a turbo timer at a push of a button ;)

I thought if you had one fitted as part of the alarm system it invalidated the Thatcham rating on the alarm (and the insurance) as it's keeping the car running unattended

Depends on insurance company tho I guess

i just let it cool down for a bit. i had a turbo timer on my scoob and cozzie.

alot of insurance comps ram up your insurance if you tell them you have one as its supposed to be easier to start the car without a key if you rip out a TT.

iirc its just a relay they can use with the clifford, it runs then cuts out and the oe immobliser etc kicks in.......... :giggle:

i just wanted noise if the boot was open................ or a big snake lurking

TBH by the time ive parked, got out, got the kids out, got the pram out, got the kids **** out, got anything else ready, then armed n locked its turnt off

60 secs only seems long sat still looking at your dash :drunk:

just fit the little pump system that the lcr has it runs coolant for a few minutes after car stops ;-)
