Vrs steering wheel wear !

Featured Replies

Hi peeps, just wondering if anyone else has started to have a wear issue with bottom (6 o'clock position) of their vrs steering wheel. Mine is showing real signs of wear, not expected on a car that is just 12 months old. I have got in contact to skoda uk customer services as I was being told " it's not warranty as its a wear and tear item" !!! Just putting the feelers out there, anybody else got this issue???

Mine's shiny. The car was two yrs old last week, currently showing 61k miles.

No wear to speak of, just that it looks a bit naff and glossy. I wish there was some way to restore the factory matt/satin look and feel from when it was new..

It's not the leather part that is the issue, the rubber/foam coated bottom part. The coating has come away and looks like a used sponge lol !!!!! I'll keep posted on ant updates

........ Fingers crossed as skoda uk pride them self on customer satisfaction and father are !!!!

Not noticed that myself, as I have the FL vRS wheel fitted to mine.

For cleaning/conditioning I'd recommend Poorboy's Leather Stuff. Does both jobs and doesn't leave a shiny finish.

Cheers Wardy - I'll put that on my Christmas list.

Iv noticed vrs leather in general not great, mines very shiny too, don't think it's up to the quality of Audi , vw leather for some reason.

Not really with you. Can you post a photo up of the wear?

It's good stuff. Will keep the seat bolsters in tip-top condition too, and stops them from drying out and cracking. Also stops creases from appearing.
