Hi every body.

I recently ordered my first skoda, [Actually my first car at all!] I ordered a Superb Hatchback L+K and I added most of the options. Not the solar sunroof!.

I was told that the estimated delivery is for May 2012, However after seeing mentioned in sum of the forums here that there will be sum minor changes from production week 22 (which works out in the begining of June) I'am starting to think weather I should ask the dealer to delay the production of my car by a month.

Will anyone on this forum know if it is possible to get skoda to delay the production if the customer wishes so?

And does any one know more info about those upcoming changes, as the dealers that I asked could not confirm any such information. Should I wait if I can get them to do it for me? I geuss its not much difference waiting another month.

Please say something if you know something!

Once the order has been placed and confirmed, there is only a small window of opportunity to change things - believe that this is upto when the factory confirm a build date. After that you won't be able to delay.

Don't know what the mid year changes are likely to be, be won't be that much I wouldn't of thought

<p>I ordered mine (the same as yours) on 31st Dec, was told that week 11 is its build week this changed to week 21!!! has now changed to week 14 its original delivery date. I will check this next week as I wrote that I would cancel if it was week 21.</p>

Thanks for that info, I wasn't told yet about any production week, just estimated to br delivered on May, so I don't know what to expect. I am getting quite impatient to be honnest.

Just to help.

Ask the dealer to show the screen that shows the estimate build week (towards the top right). In the top left of the screen there is another "box" when this goes to the number 20 (could be 10) then it is confimed from the factory.

At the moment mine show 201214, which is build week 14 the week before Easter which if correct means it will be delivered at the end of April hopefully.
