Fitted my new Hatchbag boot liner yesterday

Featured Replies

I know the colour is not to everyones liking but i like orange so i got it in orange but still needs a little test and adjust on actually fitting it better to the boot as its a bit baggy in places but is looking good so far.

And the reason we got the boot liner in the first place our dog who is able to absorb all the Mud/water/horse pooh/swamp and any other nasty smelly stuff into his fur and then spread it all over the boot.

Now that looks a clever idea particularly for a dog owner; mind hope he likes orange to :giggle:

Well colours not a problem for him as dogs are colour blind lol

And we also went for the boot liner extension that velcros onto the existing bootliner and then covers the rear of the front seats providing a barrier for when you fold down the seats or when you completely remove the seats i wanted this as i want to use the internal bike rack for our mtb's and loading them when there dirty will not be a problem with the liner in then.

Well Im no Cesar Millan, but that do looks pretty much at home in his/her 'Health and Safetyfied' boot!

I wonder though, when sodden, if the dog will slide around like an hockey puck on an ice rink each time you turn a corner????? Will be very entertaining for anyone following!

were gonna put his bed in there when he is on long trips but at the moment we have put the skoda rubber boot liner ontop of the liner to stop him sliding lol

That's fantastic, looks very smart too. I have something similar in my Yeti, but it doesn't reach up as high. From experience, your cockerspaniel? should be be fine on the rubber mat and won't slide around when you take bends to fast :giggle:

Huskies molt twice a year so even with a 6 weekly clean out, the boot of my car is looking like a Yeti's back! The fur is a nightmare.

Were off to Devon and Cornwall in July for a fortnight, once we got the car loaded up, I'll be packing ice bags around the dogs (no seriously) to help keep them cool on the long journey.

Looks like a great idea.

Is there anything to protect the rear passenger doors?

  • Author

Im sure he could knock something up to cover the passenger doors as he said there was 250 options available on the yeti for the boot liner so lots of choice and from looking at it fitted today it would be quite easy to fit some side panels which attach with velcro.

Yeah were off to cornwall at the end of the month as well as our cocker has just found out the joys of swimming so were be down the beach a lot i reckon.

One of the guys i work with has a huskie and he did three years in cyprus with it and said he managed ok with that heat.

Aarrggghhh, my eyes!!

B) , that's better.

I have it in black. Had a light grey one on a previous car and it used to reflect really badly in the rear view mirror. Will be interesting to see how you get on.

Not noticed any reflections yet and was really sunny today with us but will keep an eye on it

Looks good. I'm off on Friday to have a bootbuddy tailored and fitted. Will post some photos.

I don't need to go to the extreme lengths of yours are Springer (Beau) lives in a cage.

That looks very well made and a great fit! I like the orange too! Though I'd be wary of relections as well, so would stick with black. Though our Ocicat will certainly NOT enjoy it in a car so this is not on my list any day soon. :giggle:
