Hi everyone.

I've signed up here to find out more info on my lovely Skoda, specifically how to get the best value for money from it.

I drive huge amounts for work (about 60,000 miles per year, mostly motorway). I have a Skoda Octavia 1.9 TDI Elegance Diesel, 08. I like it a lot. The 1.9 came highly recommended by friends who also drive a lot as a reliable car that will do very long distances before giving up. I also liked the fact that a lot of taxi drivers have them. That seemed a good sign to me.

I'm here first of all to seek out info on optimal speeds for fuel efficiency, a bit of info on the climate control systems and then just any other useful stuff to help me get the most from my car.

Any pointers on FAQs so I can not bother people with obvious questions are always welcome.
