Featured Replies

Ive been putting the Rear brakes off the 51 octy vRS on my fabia.

I took the disks off my Octavia vRS and put new discs on her after painting the none contact parts with heat paint.

The masking process:

Some things I noticed tho is that the Fabia brakes has springs on the Handbrake lever? now the Octavia doesnt.

I have put the ones off the Fabia brakes on the Octy ones lol.

I do have a prob tho with my Octavia vRS, the drivers side handbrake lever doesnt go all the way off. its about 3-5mm awa from the stop and its not the cable as that is free.

I am going to be stripping the Octy during the summer so will get that sorted then, I am amazed tho that my 05 car calliper is having trouble where the ones off the 51 car are spot on. Wierd?

Well the rear of the Fabia looks good now tho with nice beefier brakes lol. here is my modification to the rear dust cover lol.

Up early in the morning to do the fronts.

Taking the fronts off the Fabia and doing a quick swap to the Octy so the octy will have the Fabia fronts on till the Brembos are sorted. once swapped Ill be doing a full brake bleed inc the ABS pump.

lol, cheers guys.

Yea not stripping in that sence, more an overhaul.

Yea I know Clive mate, I really should stop but there was an ABS fault came up on the Furby so thought Ide sort it all at same time but turns out its the actual sensor on the rear Drivers side thats been broken. How does the sensor break?  looks like the pipes on the beam are net too and the line and wire was all wrapped up like it was broken then bodged to work?  who knows?  not happy really as Ill need to get a new sensor and some how strip it again, Will have to do that on my single rest day on monday. Pain in the rear.
