Hi all, I am considering buying a new Octy SE with the Bolero system.

Is there a random/shuffle play option on the SD card (or CD player come to that) ?

As I understand it, the spec for the bolero unit on the SE has no BT connectivity, no satnav, rear camera (obviously) etc.

Is this something that can be upgraded with aftermarket parts relatively easily at a later date without costing what Skoda charge as an upgrade ?

I have seen post on these forums mentioning voice commands, will that be possible with this unit ?

why dont you just buy 6 month old superb sooooo much better and you get all the toys you will ever need.thats what i have done.and yes you will have voice command for the all the features on the Columbus and your phone

Well without wantng to take the thread OT but if I do that:

1. No 20% off (Vat free offer).

2. No 3 years free service/breakdown.

3. Limits finding a spec/colour/engine combo to what is available rather than spec what I want.

but if you buy a 6-12 month old superb say with 10.000 miles on the clock and two years warranty left you will save at least £5.000 -10.000 depending on spec thats more than you will save buying a new octavia with no vat and you will still have a better car with all the toys.

but thats your choice.

Micro SD cards should be fine with an adaptor - they're electrically identical to their bigger sized brothers, and any decent adaptor (mine for my Columbus unit is a TDK branded one that came with the micro SDHC card I use) holds the micro SD firmly in place so that there are no mechanical differences, either.

I've just been playing with my unit today. Yes it does random and intro(10 seconds) on both CDs and SD cards. Max size is 32 GB for cards and folders can be 8 deep
