Who is your service provider?

When you receive mails to your PC, are they deleted from the providers server ?

( an option in outlook )

Hi,

Normally when I've seen this problem it's because email 13 isn't getting downloaded, normally because it's a hefty attachment. Your email client doesn't update the server with a "thanks, got that, delete them all please" message till it's done with the whole queue. Your best bet is to try and connect to your email by webmail - most ISPs support this - then you can see the queue without having to download any messages and, if necessary, delete the first 12 or so (that you've already had plus the one blocking the whole thing up).

Of course, it could be something else ;)

Hope that was some help!

I'm not an expert at all, but you say you have Norton Anti-virus, which might be fine for your machine (I don't know). I personally don't know what Norton Internet is.

What else do you have protecting your machine? Eg Stinger, Mailwasher, Adaware, SpybotS&D, scanned with Trendmicro's Housecall? or Panda Software's free online scan? Spywareguard, MRUBlaster etc?

An antivirus will only protect against what it says - are you sure you are protected against other malware, hijackers, trojans, spyware etc?

It's usually by process of elimination of getting rid of all of those "nasties" that you can see what you are left with and then work out how to deal with them.

I don't know if this helps either, Vikki, but you don't give a lot of information to go on. Have you tried a Restore or Goback to a point before this problem occurred etc?

I'm sure help is out here for you.

My best regards

Mo
