Pallas Wheels Without Sports Suspension

Featured Replies

Evening All,

We have a facelift 1.8tsi estate which is currently running on it's standard 16" alloys and factory suspension. We did however purchase a set of the optional 17" Pallas alloys when we signed on the dotted line for the car (it was 6 months old) as long as they were discounted. With the weather starting to get a little better, thoughts have turned to getting these fitted.

The original plan was to also get hold of the optional lowering spring package and fit this at the same time, but I'm now having second thoughts. The car does seem to sit a little high (especially at the front), but we do have some severe speed bumps around these parts and I could do with seeing if anyone out there has any photo's of something similar, either an estate or hatch with the stock suspension to help make my mind up on which way to go. I also seem to remember reading on here that Eibach do 2 types of loweing springs that are suitable but with differing drops in ride height - as ever, I can't find it again despite exhaustive searching which I'm putting down to age related senility!

Can anyone help?

That one looks pretty good-just wondering if it will look "wrong" without the lowering springs?
