  1. do you have the part number by any chance?
  2. no i haven't gone back at it yet, as its not being driven much anyway with lockdowns etc. and anytime i have driven it since been ok interesting about the brake pedal switch, i might do that, do you know the part number by any chance?
  3. youtube videos not quite the same, the glowplug only flashes for a second when the throttle stops working then goes out again, both the videoes had flashing all the time, and they would probably have faults stored if they scanned em
  4. Same here it is very intermittent haven't had it for ages then four times on Saturday hence I went looking and found this post Driving along and it's like there is no accelerator pedal, engine goes down to idle as the car slows Car stopped and pedal does nothing Turn car off and on and it starts working again, also turn off and on while rolling/coasting fixes it Don't think it's engine as mine is different Moorside you said you replaced the pedal did you do the basic adaptation sequence in vcds after? Wonder if that would help I had master cylinder changed a while back for a different issue but don't know if the brake switch was done at the same time The mystery continues... Dallan
  5. I've used vcds and never any errors stored after it happens so it's most likely a physical issue Never thought of brake light switch it does seem similar to left foot braking now you mentioned that
  6. I have this same issue with cega engine and can't figure it out either It's as if the pedal was unplugged, turn car off and on and it will work again for sometimes a few weeks before happens again, today had it 4 times
  7. Finally figured it out, F16 looked fine but plastic had melted underneath, so cleaned up and hey presto all back to normal #relief
  8. So as i look into the CECM more and more, its looking like everything on PLUG A and some of B and C is not working along with a few other oddities so i might swap A and D around later to see if it moves sides
  9. Just checked and the footwell lights arent working either, so looking more like cecm fault maybe i will try disconnect the battery later and see if that re-sets it
  10. Hi folks, so yesterday i get a headlight bulb out warning for passenger side dip beam, then today i get into the car and maxidot starts a novel of bulbs out so after buying 2 h7's and 2 h1's taking out the passenger headlight deffo gone, replace and it works, Now to the drivers side, all i have working on that side is the sidelight and indicator No Dip, No Main, and no Fog then i notice on the rear passenger side cluster is acting strange also, no side lights or brake light changed the top twin filament bulb no change Also when the sidelights are on the rear drivers brake light is on, and the indicator on that side is not working either (replaced bulb also) Its probably something odd, but checked all the fuses in both boxes, not wet in the boot and im stumped now Anyone had this before? Thanks Dallan
  11. i might get along if i give the car a wash beforehand
  12. No its not like any usual beeps and no message on maxidot Its literally a series of bips in the space of 1-2 seconds
  13. Hi I have been meaning to ask the question for a while but kept forgetting, Anyway every so often after starting the car i hear a number of beeps in quick succession, its almost too fast to count but i think its either 9 or 10 beeps No warning lights or anything and car drives normally, just wondering does anyone know what the beeps mean? Thanks Its a 09 Mk2 CR 170 Dallan
  14. I have seen a build thread somewhere online with pics of the cuts and fills required to make it fit, but cant remember where at the min
