Bummer

Featured Replies

Took the Octy for its taxi test today like an MOT but very strict as they check other things.

It failed on a very small sweat of break fluid that had only just dampened the big nut on the rear near side break caliper, the fluid had not even run down the caliper, result a new caliper on its way fitted tomorrow

195000 miles and only 0.5 on the smoke test on supermarket fuel, tester said its well below the 3.5 allowed

Good to know your Skoda still going strong, giving good service and earning you a living at 195000 :-)

My impression of Skoda reliability is a polar opposite to yours but good to hear you are getting sterling service from yours. The 1.9tdi is a great unit. And the car is obviously looked after. Pity it happened on test day but at least its sorted soon:-)

I use this guy he knows his stuff, I had to have the camshaft and lifters renewed at 185000, striped down ordered and back on the road in 2 days

Nice result there at that mileage.I was quite chuffed when mine blew 0.8 at MOT.But has only done 49K :)
