54bhp or 64bhp?

hi

I'm looking at getting a Fabia 1.2 from around 2003/2004, but in my research I've found mixed reports about which is the best version, the 6v 54bhp or the 12v 64bhp.

obviously the 64 has more power but i have heard that the 54 is generally a better engine -

any advice would be appreciated!
