engine suddenly down on power

Featured Replies

Hi went for a run in my 2002 superb this morning and suddenly lost power wouldnt go above 60mph although revved ok when dipping clutch . A bell sounded 3 peeps and then stopped. I nursed it home and had a look under the bonnet but could see nothing obvious

I started it up again and it ran fine drove for about 10 miles and all seemed ok .Has anyone got any ideas as to what might have happened

regards

Obvious ones are check the hoses that connect to the air filter housing and the hose to the egr valve, normal test is if you can't feel the turbo kick in it's got a hose off.

If not if's probably a MAF unit.
