Skoda Octavia vRS - CR TDI

58 Registration (Oct 08)

35,000 Miles - Full Skoda Service History

£9,800

Keighley, West Yorks

I'm selling this due to the imminent arrival of a Fabia vRS Estate. I bought it from new and have had for 3 1/2 years. The car has been kept immaculate over the years due to me co-owning a Professional Detailing company, you know, the real anal type. It's on a fixed service schedule and has been serviced 3 times by a Skoda Main Dealer as the service book shows. Both front and rear tyres were replaced about 5,000 miles ago so have loads of life left in them.

I bought a Skoda Service Plan which means the next (Year 4) Main Dealer Service & MOT with Skoda MOT protection is already paid for, this is due in October. I can service and MOT it now before sale or you can use it in 6 months. There is also 12 months Skoda Assistance Breakdown Cover which stays with the car, not me. The next service, MOT and Skoda Assist would normally set you back around £350+, it's pretty much what you get if buying from a dealer themselves. Couple this with loads of tyre life left and the low mileage it should give you very cheap motoring for the next year. Here are the main bullet points:

  • Completely standard
  • 12 Months Skoda Assist
  • Next Service & MOT Already Paid (Any Dealer)
  • Race Blue metallic
  • 35,000 Miles
  • Maxidot
  • Reverse Parking Sensors
  • 18" Alloy Wheels
  • Central Storage Box/Arm Rest
  • Front & Rear Electric Windows
  • Cruise Control
  • Full Skoda Service History (Fixed)
  • 6 Months Tax & MOT (See above)
  • All 4 Tyres < 5000miles old

I welcome any inspection and will drive it as much as you like, slow or quick. Here are some nice piccies for you to look at. Interior pics will be uploaded tomorrow as I forgot to bring them with me. My number is 07852135718

Bad Points:

Just 1. Some kind sole left me this at Morrisons but unfortunately didn't leave me their name to thank them. I'm been honest here so you know what you're getting. TBH it's not that bad (bet you didn't even see it in the 2nd pic) but I though I should mention it. I am getting a quote today as I may sort it to sell.

Reduced.

Looks in great condition - good luck with the sale.

Do you say where you're based or have I missed it? And don't forget the interior pics :)

I might have talked my brother-in-law into a vRS next, so I'll mention this one to him.

I've edited the post for location (Keighley, West Yorks). I have interior pics but need to upload them to my webspace. I'll try to do that tomorrow.

Right, the missus is on my case and I want the car gone now. I'm pricing it to sell with no haggling from £10,500 straight down to;

£10,000 - No Offers!

It's worth more IMO esp with the next service/MOT etc already paid for. Come on, grab a VERY GOOD car at a VERY GOOD price.

Show it off at the Yorkshire meet , youmight get some takers

Gaah, looks ideal for me but not quite ready to buy yet. Hopefully there will be a few more nice examples like this in a few months time :)

Just buy now and be impulsive!

A guy bought the Oct vRS, left a deposit of £250 and now can't pay. He's not after his deposit back which is good for me but I still have the car of course. My temp ins is nearly out and I'm back to square one. Rather than properly insure it to sell again (sold for £10,300 to him) and to appease the missus (3 cars is apparently too much!?) I'm going to px it at the dealer for an annoying £9600 + his deposit, giving me £9850. When I factor in insuring it and Auto Trader etc this makes sense now.

I'm willing to take £9800 for this now to get rid and save me a 60mile trip to get it to the px'ing dealer.

Hopefully going there weds/thurs so let us know ASAP!

Thanks!

Dealers let me down now so back up.

Gutted - what happened?

  • Author

His excuse was that he'd just taken another similar car in px so didn't want another. 100 miles round trip too!

Got him back though, told a couple that asked me about the Octy and were looking at a new one to go to drivethedeal for a price comparison (bought through them before) so that should shaft him about £1000 to knock off for them if he competes.

Tosspot!

That's a load of crap - what a git. Is that the dealer you bought your new one through as well?

If they are refusing to take your car in px I would tell them to stuff the new car where the sun doesn't shine! There's plenty of other cars out there.
