emmissions workshop

Featured Replies

Hi all, sorry to go over this topic yet again, i know there have been numerous threads discussing this but i still have the problem and it is driving me to distraction to the point where i am considering getting rid of the car because of the problem.

I know for a fact that my problem is temperature related, not engine temp but "ambient" temp, when the ambient goes over 21 deg i get the emmissions workshop light on, when the temp drops to below 21 deg the system clears and seems to reset itself. I have done all the checks, changed all the relevant sensors, cleaned out the egr a couple of times and cleaned out everything else when i inadvertantly miss fuelled the car, since then it has gone like a rocket and been verry good on fuel, but this damned emmissios workshop is still there, so please someone, there must have been something that i have missed. the only sensor i have not changed is the actual one that sensors the outside temp, but how can that effect the emmissions control??

Coolant temperature sender if it's a 1.9.
