Had these a while now, thought I'd bagged a bargain however 3 turned out to be buckled, some not so honest folk out there...!

Anyway, had them repaired to the tune of £50 each which left a dent in the funds for a full refurb

No one would touch them as is and I'd have to split them myself, sounds easy but it wasn't and every wheel ended up with at least one pita bolt left in the wheel....

Wasn't prepared to pay out anymore money on them so set to work rubbing down all the years of neglect, mainly corrosion but some heavy'ish kerbing on one of them

Bit of filler here and there helped but still not perfect but hey ho it was the best I could do, all the spokes made the job hard going

Filler primer next then decisions over colour

Went for a cream lip, grey centre and green locking nut, this one had the tyre fitted before I started and in hindsight I wish I'd done them all like this as I'm sure the tyre fitters won't be overly careful so chances are another rub down and paint afterwards

Anyway, opinions please, car is Silver so fingers crossed will look OK if not a little different - like me really!!!

Not too sure about cream, reminds me of whitewall tyres lol. Would of gone Vrs green myself.

Saying that though looks good in the pic! lol

i think on silver they could look cool.... or black, just maybe a bold detail in the center nut

are you bringing the cream to other places mate?

i also agree green lip would be sweet........ i always love furrys green rims

Thanks for the comments guys, I did think green lip then went with a more subtle approach (cream!!)

The centre nut could be cream too, loads of paint left, will see what they look like on the car...

I'd steal them off you if I knew where you lived. Top marks. Are they similar to the ones fitted to the Golf Anniversary?

similar style but the RS2's are split rim, Anniversay are one piece....
