Acer TravelMate 292LMi laptop - SOLD

Featured Replies

Not the newest, but perfectly usable with Windows XP and in fantastic condition for its age. Would make a perfect cheap laptop for kids to use, VCDS in the car instead of using your main, expensive laptop, or even as a main computer for people who aren't too technically demanding. The specs are in this link, but in summary:

Pentium M 1.5GHz processor (sounds slow, but this is the real Pentium M which was the forerunner to the Core processors we have today, NOT the Pentium 4-m which was a slow, overheating pile of rubbish)

512MB of RAM

40GB hard drive

DVD-RW drive

Intel 802.11b/g wireless

15" screen (1024x768)

3 USB ports

1 Firewire port

1 parallel port

1 VGA port

1 LAN port

1 PCMCIA slot

Comes with the original charger and all the original paperwork (even the warranty booklet, for nostalgia's sake ;)), I've installed a more up to date AV program (Microsoft Security Essentials) rather than the Norton 2004 it came with, and a copy of LibreOffice for office use. Rather than attach images (which I think limits the size) I've uploaded some to imgur (here) which I think show that aside from a little bit of glue on the lid from a sticker and some wear on the left mouse button, this is in immaculate condition. You can't see very well from the pics due to the flash, but there are no dead or stuck pixels on the entire display

I'm looking for £60 plus postage, until I can find suitable packaging I don't know what the postage will be exactly due to unknown size and weight, but the last laptop I couriered was in the region of £12.

Would you consider offers? I need someting to run diagnostic on the car, so this will be the main reason for a buy.

At the moment it's sold, pending a final postage cost which I will have by Wednesday when it's been measured/weighed. If it doesn't sell, I'll drop you a PM :)
