Factory build code from dealer

Featured Replies

My Superb 1.8tsi SE 4x4 estate has been given a build week 19, and the dealer gave me a 8 digit code. Does anyone know if I can use this to track my order on line .They seemed to think I could ?

This is probably the SLI number.

It's unclear whether it works for just some dealers, or all of them, but you could try trackmyskoda.co.uk and put in your number.

My dealer told me they have signed up for this, but in spite of that I get no information other than 'your order is waiting a build date' which the dealer has already given me.

So give it a try and let us know if it works.

No joy it just say's "your order is crrently awaiting manufacturing date" so I guess it only works with the specific dealer.

Thanks all the same.

I sent an e-mail to Skoda UK, quoting my SLI number, and got great response from them. I was told my tentative build date (Code 10) Wk 1 2012 and confirmed build date (Code 20) Wk1 2012 and took delivery 21 days later. Worth a try if you wish to have dates confirmed. They did say that Code 10 changes to Code 20 about 4 weeks before build date.

Trackmyskoda did not work for me either.

I managed to get an email via another method, and they said they would get back to me ASAP. Here is hoping !!!!

Skoda UK came on the phone in 5min.Told me my car was code 10 week 19 and in one week would be code 20 with a firm build week which would not change( may be erlier or later) the factory decides. He also gave me a reference number, and a phone number to call at any time to get the latest position of my vehicle. Very helpful service.

I believe that this service only works with the Skoda dealers which belong to one group which encompasses Rainworth Skoda and Bickerton. So if your order was placed with these, it should work. To be honest, it's just as easy to call the dealer.... anyone in sales can look at the latest status on the system for you.

I have been informed by Skoda UK that my vehicle is in the docks at Newcastle, waiting to be delivered. Can anyone tell what the average time taken is to be delivered to the dealer ,after arriving in UK.

My Yeti came from Rainworth and the trackmyskoda site is manually input, so if they do not update it nothing changes. I found out mine had gone code 20 when I tried to add a heated screen. At the time they were not aware of the change either. In their defence their original estimate was only three weeks out

after a four month wait.

Hi BOBW,

Mine arrived somewhere grim and northern last Thurs, was at the dealer Mon but I have been out of the country so collecting tomorrow.

I think the answer is 'how long's a piece of string', tho. Once it's in the UK I don't think they hang about.

Mine left the factory on the 1st April, at the port on the 2nd April and I drove from the showroom on the 17th April and that included Easter. Quite good I think.

Mine took two days from the boat docking at Newcastle to the car arriving at Dealers in Dundee. Just depends after that how long it takes dealer to peel all the white plastic off!!

It is in the dealers interest to get it to you asap as that is when they get their money either from you or the fianace house.
