Fabia Sport MK2 Lowering Options - What do I need to buy

Featured Replies

Hi Guys

I need some advice...I have a Fabia MK2 Sport which I believe is slightly lower than standard one. I would like to lower it but don't want to go too low so need to know what springs you reckon I should buy and also will I need just springs or springs and shocks..?

Can you reccomend any and if so can you please send me some links.

I had a recommandation from Leon-y-k but these were 55mm front and 40mm back and bit worried this might be too low, see below our cars next to each other.

Also, do you think I would need to change anything else and do a wheel aligment if I decide to fit the spring/springs and shocks.

Any help or adivse will be much appreciated

Matty

Springs and Shocks kits last longer than just springs - I would suggest AP/Weitec/KW.

If you can afford it go coilovers as you can adjust the height to suit.

You shouldn't need anything if you buy the above mentioned kits, they don't need shorter drop links etc.

Also, saw Leon today and his is only a fraction lower than my stock vRS is, so his 55/40 kit is spot on imo.

Even tho he lowered the standard car where mine is slightly lower that his...I'm just bit worried that 55/40mm will be too low for me car...:/

Thanks for the reply AdLav

The sport is only 10mm lower than stock?

vRS is 15-20mm lower than stock?

I think you'll be fine, but as said with coilovers you can adjust from 0mm - 75mm ish :)

Cheap and cheerful enough :)

Leon's seem to be pretty good, personally i'd rather spend a bit more as its an important part of the car

I also new to this lowering game lol I have a vrs 2000 is this lower than a normal vrs or same. And what coil overs would you recommend and is this the better option for comfort.

Same as all vRS from factory - and as above mate, can't go wrong with AP/Weitec/KW. Eibach are good too and top end £££ like KW.

How low will look class rather than ridiculous

Good 3D pics

Whoring my pics is good for nostalgia!

I miss those old cars...

So coil overs you can adjust when needed and ebach you can't Is the ride comfort different from stock vrs

it's slightly more firm, to be fair they aren't bone shaking like people would think. :)

and Matty, for the price of my set up, it'll do me well for now, and they have a 2 year warranty :)

their not too low, and speed bumps are absolutely fine. you can see them later this week when youve got a bit of time to pop over. we can go for a drive around here and you can see for yourself! :)
