FELICIA FUN pickup

Featured Replies

Ok I'm selling her now as I want the cash to buy a trials car, Quite sad to see her go but thats life.

T reg with 120K miles and loads of history including a bill for £700 for last years mot.2 sets of keys

bodywork is average with some of the usual rust starting to show but she is straight no dents etc and the plastic bumpers are all good with no cracks etc.

I have just fitted a fully rebuilt engine and finished running it in (rebore, new pistons, rings shells etc) goes well and economical to run

tax is out the end of this month and the mot is middle of june.

3 brand new tyres fitted 1000 miles ago and I have fitted new front struts recently too.

She has remote central locking, power steering, remote alarm system, front fog lamps, origional truckman top with keys and windows, FUN CLUB yellow tonnau cover.

The rear seats are in good condition and the cab folds out easily.

this truck has been a pampered toy rather than a work horse so the load bed has the origional wooden blocks and hardly any marks in the paint.

drives well and should last for ever with some care.

pics as soon as I have washed her

£1300 OVNO

Sorry to hear she's going, same year as mine. Hope a good home is found.

Yes I really like it and its very handy to have but I'm looking to buy a car for classic trials so can't afford 2 vehicles

Yes I know exactly what you mean. Cracking little pick ups & best of luck with your new venture.

Hmmm, I'm on the look out for a £1000 motorway car, that the Mrs can steal if her 4x4 doesn't pass the next MOT.

Any information on the MPG for this on a 70mph 60mile run? What looks like it will need doing in the next year, tyres and such?

Would you be willing to put her through a MOT and should it pass I'll pay the cost back?

Interested just to get back in a Skoda, and a very quirky one at that!

MPG wise no idea as I haven't been that far in it but my 1.6 felicia used to do an easy 40mpg and the pickup is gonna be lighter so maybe more once the engine loosens up more.

if I still have it in a week I will be putting 12 months mot on it and it will be on ebay.

It will pass an mot I have no doubts at all of that as I work on these cars every day.

Anything over 40mpg would be better than the 30mpg on a good run the s2000 gets! Trying not to put the 12k commute I do to work on her odometer!

Very interested in coming to view her, I'm in work the rest of this week, next day off is Sunday if your free? Coming from Oswestry area but can also be in Kidderminster for family visit.

PM me if you like.

Cheers,

Rhodri

Even without seeing any pictures I suspect this fun will be a really nice example. Not so much now, but I used to do around a 70 mile daily commute in mine comprising mostly motorway. I've never actually measured it but would say I was getting at least between 40 & 45 mpg, dropping into the 30's for urban etc. For an older 1.6 they're pretty good fuel wise. Apart from normal/expected wear and tear items I've had little or no prob's in 4 years (50k miles).

Nice touch to still have the wood in place in the back, mine largely rotted out so ended up stripping out, treating and repainting the bed.

Good luck if you end up going for her & you'd be one of around 500 actively left in the UK!
