Symphony Sickness

Featured Replies

Have any of you experienced a problem with the Symphony CD player whereby it tends to 'skip', even on a new CD? I was told it's a software problem, I've had it since I bought the car two years ago. I wasn't really bothered to replace it because it din't do it so often, but now I figured since my warranty will be up in another year, might as well get it sorted now that it can be done for free. My service advisor is ordering whatever new parts are necessary to replace, or probably a whole new unit.

Anyone?

Not heard of that problem, but my Symphony sometimes doesn't recognise the steering wheel volume controls, so I have to reboot the HU then it works. Almost makes you think there's something from Microsoft in there

Could be one of the faulty batch of symphony cd hu's

dealer replaced mine after havin a similar problem where it would not read the discs all of the time:2002pimp:

Can't say I've had that problem with mine. Occasionally however, its 'locks' on a station and doesn't want to switch off, but then somehow goes dead. Haven't bothered dealer with it as it is extremely rare and I just accept it as one of those things.
