Featured Replies

Hi Folks

I'm want to give my Fabia Vrs the standard ice look .

I want an mfd1 head unit , easy I thought I will just place a thread in wanted section and trawl eBay .

How wrong could I be not one reply and the couple of items on eBay are 300 quid.

Why are they so scarce.

Because they were not often spec'd. You don't really buy the "bargain basement" version of a VW to then wack a load of options on it, particularly when it was pretty expensive addition too.

Having said that, it's well worth hunting out, if you can live with a different colour lights on it then maybe look for a VW/Audi/Seat unit? Don't forget a CD changer & plug & play kit too. I love mine, just waiting for the dash trim along the top.

Hi

Thats the very thing I'm looking for I'm not worried about the cd changer as I'm going to connect my iPod . I think I've even got a DVD player and media link in the garage .

They are as rare as hens teeth.

Thanks for taking time to reply

Regards Whoosh

Looks tidy that Matt.

I saw some photos of a head unit that looks really standard but is a little more high end than the OEM units; it looks so factory the owner who posted the photos said they left the facia on all the time- no flashy logos or colours to attract the magpies.

Sorry this isn't more helpful, but there is such a head unit out there- however I have a feeling it might be a touch pricey.

Someone who knows their onions a tad better than me might be able to help if they read this...
