AA pricewatch?

Featured Replies

I think this was the name of the service that can tell you who does the cheapest fuel in your area, but I can't seem to find it anymore...

Is this the one, is it no longer running, and if not, are there any others???

It was AA petrolbusters, but they have now discontinued the service. A shame, as I used it quiet a bit to find cheap fuel.

The price of fuel being what it is, I can only really suggest one place to get it cheap - Belgium... :thumbdwn:

(It's what Eddie Stobbart does, apparently :D )

Bugger it. Oh well, I'm thinking a trip to the BP is in order for some Ultimate at probably a quid a litre these days :thumbdwn:

Every little helps on the Pod next weekend though :D

Wasn't far off - 94.9p per litre!!!

On the plus side, I think the pump wasn't calibrated though - I managed to get it full from the bottom of the red for

94.9!! That outrageous - whereabouts are you, Optimax is only(!) 86.9 at my local Shell here in Wycombe.

North London. Shell Diesel Extra isn't available here yet but optimax unleaded is about 90 or 91p  a litre depending where you go. I only know one BP station that does ultimate diesel, fortunately it's the nearest petrol station to my house

But yeah, it won't be long before the juice is a quid a litre at this rate

Nice one, cheers. How depressing, the cheapest diesel within 10 miles of me is 87.7p a litre. Didn't labour say they want to put fuel tax up too? :thumbdwn:

Ouch! The regular diesel at south mimms is nearly 95p!!! Happily though I found out from that link that there's a cheap superunleaded stockist nearby for my Scimitar, result! That thing runs rough on regular unleaded. Runs ok, but on Super it roars! :D

Interesting - not seen that site before. Shows that the nearest garage to me in Gloucestershire is the third cheapest out of ten for ordinary diesel - I paid 94.9p there last week for Ultimate (which isn't listed).

Problem is that site (a) doesn't show all BP garages - there's an expensive one on the way to work (Bristol Road opposite ProTyre) that's not featured' date=' and (B) doesn't say whether they stock Ultimate Diesel...[/color']

However there's a big proviso in terms of relevance to current pricing - look at the bottom of the page:

Published price subject to change without notice.

Pricing information is compiled using monthly transactional information from Arval cards and calculates the average price at the petrol station.

Pricing information should be used as an indicator, but may not reflect the pump price at the site on today's date.
