A dumb question about Amundsens/ RNS310/RNS315s

Hi,

Just asking a really dumb question with regards to the Amundsen HUs and the VW equivalents the Rns310/rns315.......

Can these units plug and play (in theory) into a 58 plate Scout? Obviously need a different facia panel. I ask as I'm just weighing up all the options out there to update my original HU.

You *may* need to upgrade the CAN gateway and you'll almost certainly have to do some VCDS coding but otherwise should be straightforward.

Dear Forum I'm looking about for a new-to-me Scout in the UK, and am surprised to see that some of the later (2018/19) DSG Scouts are advertised as having the 148/150hp engines. I had been under the impression that UK Scouts were either 150hp manual or 184hp DSG - but that seems not necessarily to be so. Does anyone know whether there are indeed 150hp DSG vehicle about - or have these simply been inadvertently misdescribed by the vendors? Many thanks in advance for any thoughts.

Whilst in France last week my car received an infotainment update, The car is a 2024 Octavia Vrs diesel hatchback, with a reversing camera retrofitted by East Yorkshire Retrofit. After the update two odd things happened. Firstly the reversing camera did not work at all the first time I reversed the car after the update. Then it worked, but instead of the full screen showing the camera view, it is now two thirds camera view and one third a top-down outline of the car with curved lines showing the

Fuse for glove box light?

The light in the glove box has stopped working. I know the bulb is okay, and I’ve used a multimeter across the contacts on the connector which is showing no voltage at all. Going through the list of fuses, the glovebox light fuse is not listed separately or even as a part of other lighting. It would be useful to know the correct fuse and if any other items also tie to it, since everything else works fine and it can narrow it down to the switch. Thanks in advance!

Having issues with the p2196 engine code. Code reader reads bank1 stuck so had it replaced today by a garage and its clearly new but after 30 miles of her eating fuel like ive never seen before the engine code has come back on with the same code. Only had the car 3 months but it has got egr and dpf delete so could this play a part into why this code is recurring or could it be electrical issue. Hey guys, Sadly it's looking like my Octavia days which have been pretty brilliant could be at an end, unless I can find a replacement engine. Looking like a blown head gasket/cracked/warped head so it's not driveable now and boiling away (95C+ even without the thermostat in). It's also had a burning engine oil issue for years. It's a 110 ASV engine. So my options are: Say goodbye to my brilliant Octavia ☹️ Try and find a replacement engine, throw it in and hope. Downsides are obviously the
