As you all know, a >2 second press on the key fob "open" button should open all four windows. A >2 second press on the "close" button should close all four windows or fold the door mirrors. My car has developed a fault. The drivers door window doesn't open/close, the other three are OK. (All four work OK on the window buttons). And the door mirrors no longer fold inwards on the key fob button. (The function works on the mirror switch so they do still fold). The car is a 170CR 4x4 Elegance, about 5 months old. Presumably there is an electronic box that controls these functions and it has gone faulty?

This happens to mine intermittently Try opening then closing the "faulty" window keeping the button depressed and lifted, don't use the auto function. This should fix it

Probably you used the force limiter of that window. (the function that detects if something is in the way and stops the closer.) This causes the window to "forget" the closed position and it needs resetting. Try to override the force limiter (page 48 of the owners manuel) this might help.

Let me know if it worked, my friend had the same problem on a ford galaxy, and this was the solution.

You could also try a "reset to factory settings" in your MFD. This sometimes takes care of minor issues such as this.

Using the window controls in drivers door open all windows fully, close all fully, do this a couple of times to reset. Then try key fob again.

I had the same problems and the mirrors didnt fold when pressing the button on the key fob, However, they worked when using the switch in the car. It started on a thursday and didnt work at all until next tuesday when it suddenly was working again. These minor flaws (also has problems with the electric seat on the drivers side) makes me wonder a bit about Skodas quality...

Don't forget when you open and close the windows when the window gets to the closed position you have to release the button and push it again for the closed position you have to do this on all the windows and the sun roof if you have one. this will activate the global closing and opening memory.
