Well never thought I would do this but needs must. Due to the imminent arrival of a baby Im wanting to buy something safer. Car is a mk2 Jetta GL 1.8 auto with small chrome bumpers. Has only 73k on the clocks from new and comes with FSH. Underneath of the car is immaculate and I have tried to show this in the pictures and there is no rust in the usual mk2 places. Has the usual age related marks as to be expected with the age of the car. Interior is immaculate and no tears/wear on drivers seat bolster. I have covered 2k and not had any problems. Ive driven from north to south and work in Northern Ireland and had no issues as all. All she has needed was a new battery. Auto box kick downs fine and surprised me with how nippy she is. Got 340 miles to not even a full tank and costs around £60 to fill. I never run cars down to red light as dont like pulling crap into the filters. Unfortunately she will need a new NS front wing as was damaged off the wheel hitting it due to the lows.

Car is lowered on FK coilovers and has 16" staggered Crackle black Porsche 928 wheels on.

MOT until October 2012, Tax until June

Good Points:

Low mileage with FSH

Good clean solid shell.

Immmaculate interior.

Ultra reliable.

Bad Points:

Needs NS front wing, can get a pair for £45.

Temp gauge not working on dash. It needs a temp sensor, already tested fault.

Clock on dash has gone and would need replacing but never bothered me.

Full beam doesnt work, needs a new indicator stalk and will hopefully be fixed before sale.

The bad points are little niggles and just the joys of owning an old car!

It's still a tricky market but the acid test will be what you can actually realise for it? You just need one buyer that really wants it. Good luck anyway
