1.8Tsi 4x4 .... any good

Featured Replies

afternoon folks .... again

please help, still looking/thinking of swapping me 'tavia VRS

lookws at favia VRS , cracking little rocket but just to small for family ....

would love another 'tavia VRS , but owuld be 3rd in a row, and think may get bored ...

was looking for a 200ps superb but all to costly ...

have just come a cross a 1.8tsi 4x4 elegance est , at a good price ... (was orignally looking at 4x4 for a complete change but all to costly and the ones i have tryed to wobbly to drive, but girl friend says im not ment to throw them into bends the same way i do my vrs)

is the superb 4x4 a good car

i dont go off roading as you would in an off road 4x4 but, with snow etc as we live in a little village would come in handy in bad weather

Cant comment on the TSi, but the 4x4 system is EXCELLENT in all conditions, Dry, Wet, or Snow, the levels of grip makes you feel safe and secure. It even helps simple tasks, such as pulling out at a junction!

And, it looks just like any other normal Superb, so you wont be subjected to abuse in towns, as if you were driving an X5.

I've got the hatchback version, and I'm really pleased with it. The 1.8 tsi engine is really smooth and suites the car. I'm sure you would notice a drop in power but I believe you could have it remapped to about 200 bhp.

I get low to mid 30's mpg, but most of my driving is local, not motorway.

I had a octavia 4x4 before I got the superb, and the superb feels like a better car to drive and of higher quality than the octavia.

Good luck with your decision.
