BT Vision

Featured Replies

Wondered if anyone here has hacked a BT Vision box? I've an old (Silver) one that has some movies on the HDD that I'd like to transfer to my external HDD to keep. The BT Vision box runs WinCE (embedded?) and I've tried taking the HDD out of the case, connected it to my PC with the SATA and viewed the files, but they are encrypted :swear: so I was wondering if anyone has come across any software that will play them?

Cheers, Lee.

I doubt it, if it's encrypted you'd have to crack it

Just googled and it use certs, which are by all accounts, uncrackable.

Second that.

Worth every penny, although a little difficult to get your head around it initially.

er, ok, forgive my ignorance, but what's a news server and what does it do (in a nutshell please!)

If it seems too difficult or too much hard work, I'll use the HDD and build a cheapo PC for a nephew.

It's not exactly legit, google it and all will be revealed

 < my head!

You join a server (paid @ £7 pm)

You run a client program, you d/l an NZB file

it becomes a film/album/whatever, at your end

No uploading so your not filesharing you get your connections full speed so uber quick downloads.
