Hey Everyone!

I know there are so many of these threads about the best exhaust upgrades but they still haven't quite answered my questions..

I have spent quite a lot of my time investigating into various different exhaust companies such as Miltek, Blueflame, PowerFlow, Piper, Jetex..etc..

I want to try and get a good depth of peoples opinions of these..

Also the, 'Mufflerectomy' is another common favourite.. but not for those wishing to avoid the infamous 'pigeon' noise..

Got a full MIlltek with de-cat, and not looked back. Get a great pigeon noise, and a great sound in tunnels when holding a (probably too) low gear.

IIRC, the Milltek is the only off-the-shelf offering that increases the bore size? Could be wrong.

I've got the Piper with single silencer and de-cat. Gotta say it is incredible. When on power it makes a great sound, you can occassionally hear the turbo through the exhaust. I don't get the pigeon noise but that's fine with me. When cruising the exhaust is un-noticable, no droning or any other ill effects :-)

I removed my first silencer and replaced it with a RVS pipe (1,5m) and have a custom RVS last silencer with "diesellook" tailpipes.

Sounds deep, doesn't really show under the bumper and will never rust again.

I have a Jetex full system + de cat. It sounds nice and deep but not to loud. I did not want the boy racer sound like a cherry bomb with a hole in it. I can hear the turbo whistle almost all the time. Perfect exhaust tone for me.

I was thinking of getting a jetex cat-back, didn't think jetex made a downpipe/decat tho?

I don't know also. Its mostly th cat-back that maks the sound anyway. I just have de-cat, normal down pipe and jetex ehaust

Suppose that would be cheaper just decating the standard downpipe, does it sound nice on boost? Don't want anything loud just nice roar under hard acceleration.

Yes thats just how it sounds, it has the turbo whistle sound + the exhaust has a small rumble sound at low revs when driving through towns. Push the car & there is a deep roar but not an annoying over the top roar, just ear friendly.

If you buy an exhaust an its to loud, it just becomes to annoying. My opinion anyway!
