Colour Choice Help!

Featured Replies

Hi all, newbie here. My car is getting picked up on Saturday and I'm going to be getting a VRS! Cannot wait! :)

My first car was red, second blue, currently have black. I was edging towards black but then red caught my eye as they are a bit rarer or seem to be.

Does the red fade at all?

Feel free to post some pretty pictures to help me make my mind up :)

I've not had any issues with my Red vRS, still looks nice and shiny as it did when it left the factory. Come's up really nice with a decent polish and wax aswell.

You cant beat black for shine when you put the effort in but it is hard to keep that way.

Silver hides the little scratches and marks easy but isnt a great colour for shine.

I've never liked red cars if im honest they are a bit bland.

SE Blue is nice if you have the money.

Yellow is just wrong (IMO)

How dare you Huxley!! :'( lol.

The only slight faded I've had is on the bottom of the rear bumper. With a little machine polish it soon brings the depth back.

Not experienced the peeling spoiler bug and that's held it's colour fine.

Any excuse...

If you can dig deeper into your pockets, I'd also recommend the blue se.

I like the blue but can't afford one sadly.

Funky Fab, yours has made my mind up after those pics, I'm going for red, you've done a few of the mods that I've already got in mind for mine!

I loved polishing and waxing etc so I'm sure I can keep it shining really well :)

Thanks guys!

Looks lovely Huxley! Really does, my current black car is just a pain to keep clean. This will be my 4th car and my old red one is the only one I really loved! :)

Oh, I'm here as a yellow defender! Nice black & red fab's by the way . Modern waxes coupled with uv protectors tend to do the trick these days.

im on my 5th silver car!

hides everything and when its clean looks pucka.

come over to the silver mate ;) ;)

I am tempted by silver, they seem to have a better spec than the others! (xenon lights, cruise control etc) but I have found a nice red one which I am going to view :)

red for me

even since adding a black one to the driveway the red one edges it for me

it's a million times easier to keep clean too

cruise control can be retrofitted for like £140.

xenon is something that can cost u £1000+ if retro fitting. so if you can buy 1 regardless of colour with tidy mileage and good service history take it.
