  1. Evening all, recently had issue with my DSG in my Mk7 Golf Gti. I have now fitted a new clutch in the car, however I require the clutch resetting which is done so via VCDS. Wondering if anyone is available around the Haslingden in Lancashire area who can come and reset it for me? Regards Adam
  2. Been running mine since around April/May time. Done a fair few miles on it now, still needing some mapping tweeks as I have been having issues with boost leaks so got some new pipework to get fitted. Should have dyno results on mine next weekend all being well
  3. I'm gonna change the drop links and the anti roll bar bushes and if those don't solve the issue then the console bushes will be replaced for new items. Unsure as to stick with Powerflex or not now....
  4. Other than a little bit more movement on the gearbox side than I'd like things seem okay to me.
  5. I've started to notice a clunking noise when braking hard and pulling off in my vrs. I first noticed it on track a few weeks ago, you could pretty much feel the clunk near your feet. Someone has mentioned that it could be the console bushes but I'm running powerflex ones, granted they are a few years old now but surely it can't be them? Anyway to test and find out whats causing the issue?
  6. I'm interested to see how the block comes out myself. Having only used industrial stuff in our washing off tank would be good to see how it compares. Ours usually gets changed weekly but the newer stuff we use is no where near as good as the older products we can no longer get. How much is the bag and recommended mixing numbers?
  7. Managed to finally sort an alloy boost pipe up towards the ASV, got that fitted a few weeks back. The other week I set about giving the car a quick machine polish ready for a few shows. And the finish afterwards Last weekend I attended USC at Santa Pod with a few mates. I managed to get a set of TT comps from another forum member on here and managed to blag a set of Yoko Advan A006T road legal super soft compound tyres from my boss at work to be used for dragging. Loaded up with all my camping gear And waiting to head down the strip at pod Cooling off next to my mates ST Best time I did all weekend was a 13.7, it was a very hot weekend so I think heat soak was a major issue so looking at ways to get more cold air into the engine for future use.

  11. Assuming that this is a BLT engine, do you have the coolant hoses? I'm getting Samco to make a kit for the market and could make life easier if you have them all.
  12. Slight update. The other weekend Itook my car in to have the wheels refurbed as I wasn't happy with the stone chips etc on them and they didn't look right even when touched up. The colour is slightly lighter, which isn't a bad thing as people may realise they are purple and not black now haha. And back on the car I should have an update regarding the mapping over the next couple of days and progress more with it
  13. Alex dropped his block and crankshaft off with myself last Friday for machining. Will be cracking on with that over the next couple of weeks and supplying himself with the pictures etc
  14. I'm running Bridgestone Potenza Adrenalin RE002, not exactly cheap tyres but not the most expensive either. I ran them before my engine blew up running 264bhp and had no issues with this twitchyness so I'm ruling out a tyre issue tbh
  15. I haven't no as I haven't removed the track rod ends or the ball joints which could alter the geometry in any way, just refitted the polybushes that was removed and fit it all back together. Tyres are the same part worn ones as was fitted beforehand so don't think its tyres, even checked all the pressures and they was fine. The car feels like its hitting standing water when it does it. Could a worn engine mount cause the pulling?
