Dashmount Bracket Installation

Featured Replies

Has anyone fitted a dashmount bracket to a 2011 Superb TDi Elegance. The instructions say to remove the top fascia but am worried about damaging the trim. Any guidance would be appreciated.

why would you want to fit one when the car has bluetooth hands free???

Maybe the OP wants the ability to hold the phone somewhere or provide charging??

I don't think I have a Dashmount one in mine but I do have a bracket which is to the left of the stereo - I didn't fit it but professional company.

I will take a picture if it's useful?

good point coops,i have the media lead fitted in my center glove box i wonder if this charges the phone when connected.

Bill, if the lead you refer to is just a normal jack (looks like the end of a headphones wire) then it would not charge your phone

Yes please. I also see your fuelly results, are you manual or dsg?

Will take a pic later - I'm manual, 2.0 TDi CR 140

MDI will power phone/usb device when connected, I installed in the little draw underneath the headlight switch for charging my phone (did not want it in glovebox).

Kiwi - pictures of my Bury installed phone cradle, importantly is the bracket which fits into the mounting holes for the stereo. Tried to take one from the back also!

There is a company called Brodit which make mount to fit each car. I have one in my octy and it's solid and only costs a few bucks on eBay. BRODIT PROCLIP 654219 for SKODA SUPERB Pro Clip is what it's called search it. They really do work and stay firmly in place no drilling no bolts no glue just pops in.

I always buy Brodit. Expensive for what they are, but really solid.

Currently have a Brodit proclip with a Dashmount universal holder. Means it'll hold my phone (Samsung) and the wife's (HTC), AND I don't have to remove the case first either.

Google DSL Developments.

I've used Brodit before, some versions cover a vent though

Yup. But not totally, and not a problem - at all, in fact.

Best place for a phone or satnav. Easy reach and at eyeline.
