Door lock problem, new unit?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have had the usual problem with my drivers rear door lock failing locked. I removed the door card, smashed the lock so I could open the door and replaced the lock. The problem is the new unit will not work with the central locking. It locks and unlocks and unlocks manually but doesnt attempt to do anything with the central locking.

The new unit I have put it is for a B5 passat which I thought would be the same as my 53 superb (it looks exactly the same). Have I bought the wrong lock or do I have another fault somewhere else?

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for this so I can test im getting the correct voltages on the pins of the connector?

thanks for any help
