Boot stopped locking and 2 fault codes

Featured Replies

Last night I noticed that my boot no longer locks using the key remote c/l.

I did a little bit of investigation today using my VCDS Lite and brought up a fault code

Control Module Part Number: 1C0 959 799 B

1 Fault Found:

00928 - Locking Module for Central Locking; Front Driver Side (F220)

27-00 - Implausible Signal

I had a little play with things and have noticed that when using the r/c/l everything locks apart from the boot.

Using the key in the boot lock locks everything.

Using the key in the drivers door lock only locks the drivers door.

Using the lock/unlock buttons on the drivers door locks everything apart from the boot.

Child safety lock button on the drivers door panel does nothing.

I used the Measuring Blocks feature on VCDS and it can tell when the boot lid is open or closed but not when the handle/switch is used to open the boot, it also shows that when all the doors are locked it still thinks the drivers door is unlocked.

I also can't hear the locking mechanism moving in the boot at all.

Would this be related to the seemingly common water ingress problem in the plug inside the drivers door or is the boot completely seperate?

VCDS also shows me

17947 - Clutch Pedal Switch (F36): Implausible Signal

P1539 - 35-00 - -

Rather than posting a seperate topic can I safely assume that this is a simple replacement of the clutch switch behind the pedal? I have noticed my cruise control takes a second or so to disengage when dipping the clutch but instantly when using brakes.

Hopefully somebody can help me figure this lot out :(

A slight update!

I've sorted the boot locking issue, it turns out I'm slightly stupid and forgot stick the plug back in to the solenoid when I did my reversing camera the other day.

I still have the strange problem with my drivers door lock not activating the central locking though.
