Just been driving home on motorway and white smoke started to bellow out of exhaust when doing about 70mph, car then felt sluggish but still accellerating, continued on waay home on back roads just in case @ nice and steady pace, no problems untill i hit high speed again and white smoke billowed out when changing down a gear from 5th to 4th at about 60 mph, I love my skodia and its 10 year old with good service history and only 50k on clock, any ideas??

Not 100% sure but white smoke is a sign of water being burnt which would maybe indicate head gasket. Very unusual at 50k though. Take it to a local garage where they will do a 'sniff test' good luck!!

Welcome along

Hope you get ya motor sorted!

Hi and welcome aboard.

Good luck with the repairs and welcome to the forum

Whats the oil level at ?

Did it have a sweet smell to it ? Or more of a burning smell?

What engine is it ?

Hi and welcome, your problem could be valve stem oil seals but engine is a bit young for that, best to do as lfccraigy advised and have a garage check it out.
