Weird electrical gremlins. CCM Faulty?

Featured Replies

My vRS has a niggling problem that's been bugging me for ages now. The car sometimes doesn't know that the driver's door is open, so the interior light doesn't come on, and the central locking re-locks after 30 seconds. I thought this would be the microswitch in the door, so I've put up with it.

However - I noticed this morning that the rear drivers door doesn't always unlock on the first go, but does on the second and that my one touch windows keep resetting themselves.

Does this sound like a dodgy CCM Module? Whereabouts are they?

More likely the door module in the drivers door, check the plug that goes into it

Does the module in the drivers door control them all? I've scanned it with VCDS and it came up with drivers door control module intermittent signal.

Yup would do as it has 4 switches and the rear window lock. Sure its that that's the main point for windows and locking.

Think water ingress into the plug is a major problem and corrodes the pins

I thought it would be. Looks like I need to take the door apart and have a look.

Cheers dude!

No problem m8 its either that or where it goes though the door
