Superb Laurin and Klement

Featured Replies

I quite like the look of the spec on this upgrade to the Elegance, which gets a pan roof on the estate (something I couldn't get on my Elegance estate 18 months ago due to supply issues at the factory) and std TV function add on for the Columbus. I'm less convinced about the brown leather trim which I can't see looking right with any colour other than the chocolate brown metallic and personally I don't like that either. I think Skoda could have given a bit more choice here. A shame they haven't engineered the car to take the V6 tdi engines that Audi customers can order, but I know VAG don't want Skoda competing with Audi, more supplementing it. The new Superb brochure with the L&K supplement is here if anyone wants to see:

http://www.skoda.co.uk/GBR/tools/brochurerequest/Pages/default.aspx

I have the L&K plus quite a few other options. Mine is Steel Grey metalic and all who have seen the car say that the color and brown leather go well together.

I spent ages before deciding on the brown leather and I also made Skoda provide a leather sample first. They do have it and it is kept at Skoda Uk HQ, well it was some 4 months ago as it was the only sample in the UK.

Some of the photographs seem to show that the brown leather is quite light, this is incorrect it is quite dark. If you can get your dealer to obtain the sample you will see this.

Skoda should provide samples on something that cost that much. You would not buy a leather suite without seeing a swatch first. Would you?

I have seen the Magnetic Brown L&K and it is not "my" colour but each to their own.

Have you any photographs to post on here? Not that I'm planning on changing my car but I wouldn't mind seeing what yours looks like.

I have had my Superb L&K for two weeks now. My car is black. The brown leather interior is very dark, to some extent is goes towards black in color. I just love it. Most of the pictures on the internet are way to light in color.

A kind offer but TBH it was just curiosity. I won't be changing my car for at least 18 months, probably longer, best not to start looking now it will only lead to trouble (financially speaking). Thanks anyway :)

Your welcome.

I have the L and K package and I also chose steel grey for the outside and it matches quite well. Regarding the brown leather I did take the plunge, as I called at least fifteen different dealers and no one could get me to see an example of the L and K package, but thankfully it does look alright.

The Superb Twin door in Black with L&K upgrade is the dogs dangling bits guys!!!!

Everytime i look at that car puts a smile on my face (and i am an x Ocy vRS driver!!)

Only thing is whenever i drive it and i have my petrol head friend in the car he tells me off for listening to "normal" music and says "what are you doing, what type of car are we in...!!!" then he makes me put on Hoffman or Beethoven!!!

The L&K is by far the best car out there for the money.

Mine cost £23679 and that is with the Auto dim mirror, Black magic paint and extra 2 year guarentee (now 5 years or 100,000 miles).

Pure VW quality with a Skoda badge and skoda price tag.

In fact, i herd a rumour that the head of VW has complained to the head of Skoda as a lot of Passat drivers are converting to Superb due to all the extra toys you get as standard which are pricy options on the VW passat eqivilant!
